On Saturday, the Supreme Court pronounced that the Ram Temple will come up in the disputed land in Ayodhya, whereas Muslims will get an alternative land measuring five acres. Expressing his concerns with the Supreme Court ruling on Ayodhya verdict and Congress’s reaction to the judgment, chief of the All India Majis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), Asaduddin Owaisi said that Muslims had been deceived by political parties. The five-judge bench of the Supreme Court led by CJI Ranjan Gogoi announced its decision to give the entirety of the 2.77-acre land to the Hindu parties. The SC ruled that an alternate land will be given to Muslim parties, while a trust will monitor the construction of a temple on the disputed land, it ordained was owned by the Hindus.
All India Muslim Personal Law Board and the Sunni Waqf Board have expressed dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court verdict.
Asaduddin Owaisi, reacted to Ayodhya verdict with a single photo on Twitter, before holding a press conference on the judgment. Owaisi took to his Twitter and posted the book cover and said Supreme But Not Infallible: Essays in Honour of the Supreme Court of India.
Finally, Asaduddin Owaisi, who has emerged as the main political voice of the Muslim community, made it clear that he was not happy about the judgment of the Supreme Court over Ayodhya verdict.
Asaduddin Owaisi said, “Faith has prevailed over facts” with regards to the Supreme Court’s verdict today.
Advocate Zafaryab Jilani, who had fought the case for 45 years, expressed his dissatisfaction with the judgment.
Hyd MP Asaduddin Owaisi hit out at the judgment saying, “If the Babri Masjid wasn’t demolished that day, what would the judgment have been today?
The disputed site in Ayodhya was awarded to the Hindu parties, whereas the Supreme court directed the Centre to allot a 5-acre plot to the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board for building a mosque.
