Recently released Tamil film Asuran is not only a critically acclaimed one but also a commercially super successful film. The film has collected a gross of more than 100 crores and Dhanush’s performance is praised each and everyone who has watched the flick. Director’s raw, intense taking is the talk of the town as well. Now, it is known that Asuran is being remade in Telugu with Venkatesh in lead. His brother Suresh Babu will produce the flick. Currently, the duo is in search of a suitable director to handle the project.
A few days back, it is reported that Hanu Raghavapudi of Krishna Gadi Veera Prema Gaadha, Lie, Padi Padi Leche Manasu fame has given the responsibility for directing the film. But the latest news is that Srikanth Addala, who is almost out of focus from Brahmotsavam has grabbed this offer. After Brahmotsavam dud Srikanth Addala is looking to grab another flick. However, things are not falling in place for this flick.
Addala has asked more time for the script to be completed. With Asuran remake, Geeta Arts – Srikanth Addala project will take more time than expected. Earlier, it was Shriya who was considered as a heroine in Asuran remake but with Srikanth Addala coming into the project, he is keen to rope in Anushka for Manju Warrier role. It is known that both Venkatesh and Srikanth Addala has worked together for Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu and for this reason Venky has given nod to rope in SVSC director for Asuran remake.
However, the audiences are interested to see how a family hero like Venkatesh would fit in the role of Dhanush who is raw and rustic and how a classy director like Srikanth Addala who made films with values and family sentiment would helm this intense thriller. Well, we have to wait and see how this project shapes up.
