On 11th November legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital after she complained of chest congestion. Ever since the news of the singer being hospitalised spread like wildfire. Her fans have been praying for her speedy recovery. And now her family has issued an official statement saying that Lata Mangeshkar is stable and much better.

Lata Mangeshkar, the nightingale of India, was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on Monday morning. She is still in hospital and doctors have said that her condition is stable. But few are saying that her condition is critical and continues to be on life support. Dr Pratit Samdani of Breach Candy hospital said, “Lata Mangeshkar is slowly improving and is still on life support.”

Hospital sources also say that 90-year-old singer Lata Mangeshkar is suffering from pneumonia, heart problems and chest infection which has made her lungs weak and currently on antibiotics. Unless her infection gets under control,  the doctors cannot do any procedures. She is critical. The doctors are monitoring her health continuously.

The nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar is expected to remain in the hospital for over a week. Her family members have requested fans and followers to give them some space.

Lata Mangeshkar has lent her voice for thousands of songs in Hindi, regional and foreign languages. Her last full album was for the late filmmaker Yash Chopra’ directorial venture “Veer Zaara”, which was released in 2004.
