Allu Aravind is a film producer and distributor in Telugu Film Industry. He is producing the films under his production banner Geetha Arts. Now the Mega Producer Allu Aravind is set to release the Telugu version of Mollywood Mega Star Mammootty’s upcoming period drama Mamangam. Recently the makers of Mamangam organized a press meet in Hyderabad and Allu Aravind who graced the event has revealed a shocking incident that happened ten years ago. The senior producer Allu Aravind said that around 10 years ago, he had called Mollywood Mega Star Mammootty and requested him to play the main antagonist in a film with Pawan Kalyan as the main lead. Allu Aravind admitted that Mammootty had asked him if he could ask the same to Megastar Chiranjeevi. Allu Aravind added that he then said sorry to Malayalam star Mammootty.

During the press meet, Allu Aravind said, “Mammootty garu asked me if I would ask Megastar Chiranjeevi to play a villain in the film. I replied I won’t. He then laughed out loud and asked me then how can I offer him the same role and went on to refuse my movie. I am very happy to present the Mammootty film Mamangam.”

Mammootty starrer Mamangam is directed by Sajeev Pillai, and it revolves around a medieval festival which is conducted every 12 years on the banks of Bharathapuzha at Tirunavaya, in the Malabar region, in which warriors from different parts of the country would arrive to fight against each other. Mamangam is produced by Venu Kunnappilly, described as a history of power, vengeance, and hope. Shankar Ramakrishnan has written the adapted screenplay and dialogues.

Currently, Allu Aravind is busy in his upcoming production venture Ala Vaikuntapuramloo starring Stylish Star Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde, which is being directed by Trivikram Srinivas. Ala Vaikuntapuramloo will be released on the occasion of Sankranthi.
