No more huge budgets for Boyapati?

No more huge budgets for Boyapati?
No more huge budgets for Boyapati?

Boyapati Srinu is one such director who makes movies with heavy budgets. He, on numerous occasions, has cut down his remuneration for the sake of the movie. He wants his movies to be visually rich and full of people. For that, the mantra he followed till now is to cast in top heroines and villains. He will take care of the scenic locales and rich setup for both hero, heroine and villain. Even while directing a movie with Bellamkonda Srinivas he did not compromise on budget aspect. For Bellamkonda whose market is not even 20 crores, Boyapati spent 40 crores for Jaya Janaki Nayaka. While the movie is good and got decent reviews, it turned out to be a flop with exorbitant prices quoted for buyers.

Even then, Boyapati Srinu managed to get huge budgets for his movies. But one film has changed it all. This year released Vinaya Vidheya Ram which starred Ram Charan in the lead role has turned out to be a really bad movie in both Charan and Boyapati’s career. Trolls on Boyapati after the film released are numerous in numbers and he had to wait nearly 8 months for grabbing another project. After okaying movie with Nandamuri Balakrishna, with whom he delivered two blockbusters in the name of Simha and Legend, Boyapati Srinu hasn’t got any nod from Balayya. In fact, Nandamuri hero preferred KS Ravi Kumar movie over Boyapati film.

Now, as KS Ravi Kumar film Ruler is in the final stages of production, Boyapati Srinu film will soon get started. But sad news for Boyapati is that he isn’t getting the budget he demanded. He is not a position to demand anything. Instead of top heroines, Boyapati is now preferring to rope in cost-effective heroines. Same is the case with villains and character artists. There is a strict warning for Boyapati not to exceed the budget given. Will Boyapati deliver goods within the budget??
