Padmaavat and Gully Boy fame Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil Dev in the upcoming movie 83, which is a biopic of Kapil Dev. The upcoming film will be released on 10th April 2020 in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages. Now a pic of Ranveer Singh is going viral on the social media where he is seen recreating Kapil Dev’s iconic Natraj pose.
Recently the makers of 83 wrapped up the final shooting schedule in Mumbai recently. The makers of 83 took to twitter and shared a still from the film that features Ranveer Singh and said, “Here is a glimpse of Ranveer Singh in the iconic Natraj pose, playing at the Tunbridge Wells ground where Kapil Dev scored 175 runs against Zimbabwe in the 1983 world cup semi-finals.”
The Twitter handle of the production house said, “Natraj’ is known for his dance. But the man behind Natraj shot made sure that the bowlers danced to his tune in his innings of 175 at Tunbridge!”.
It was on 18th June 1983, Kapil Dev scored 175 against Zimbabwe at Tunbridge Wells in England. India had won this match by 31 runs.
